This week, we sail to Tahiti Beach, go snorkeling, and explore the beautiful tropical beach with the dogs.

Throughout the rainstorms we’d been having, the wind began to shift directions, causing the waves to start building in our current anchorage. It can make for quite the uncomfortable stay, so we decided to take the next break in the rain to head to a Tahiti Beach, which has quite the reputation for being one of the most picturesque beaches in the Abacos. By the time we set anchor near Tahiti Beach, it was still raining and quite overcast, so we decided to do a bit of snorkeling instead of a heading to the beach. After all, it doesn’t make too much of a difference if it’s raining while you’re snorkeling! After a few more days of video editing while the rain and thunderstorms passed through, we got a small break in the storms and took advantage of it to finally go explore Tahiti Beach! We enjoyed walking along the beach looking at the different rocks and plants as the dogs sniffed out all the new and different smells in the sand and brush. Once we got back to the boat, it was time to rinse all the sand off the dogs and then out of the dinghy. It was a great feeling to have finally had a break from the rain, walk on land, and get to explore the beach. With some high winds from the south east in the forecast, we sailed a bit north to see a new area while keeping the SE protection that we had at Tahiti Beach. After being in a populated anchorage, we decided to drop anchor in a nice secluded spot that we could enjoy all to ourselves.
